New Temple President Called to Serve in Santo Domingo

John Edwin Rappleye, 65, Washington Fields 11th Ward, St. George Utah Washington Fields Stake, called as president of the Santo Domingo Dominican Republic Temple, succeeding President Garry R. Flake.  President Rappleye’s wife, Nancy Lee Humpherys Rappleye, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Janet Flake.  He serves as a ward mission leader.  He has served as president of the Chile Osorno Mission, district president, branch president, and high councilor.  Retired sales and marketing director, he was born in Twin Falls, Idaho, to John Drew and Marjorie May Rappleye.

Sister Rappleye serves as a ward missionary.  She served with her husband as he presided over the Chile Osorno Mission, and has also served as stake and ward Relief Society president, stake Young Women president, and institute teacher.  She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Boyd von Nordeck and Joan Eliza Humpherys.
