Face to Face with Musical Artists

Youth are invited to participate in the worldwide Face to Face with musical artists event on October 11, 2017. LDS artists Lexi Walker, Nik Day, Nicole Luz, Patch Crowe, and Madilyn Paige will answer questions and perform several songs.

Lexi Walker, who has performed around the world, said that Face to Face events she watched in the past helped answer questions she had. “The gospel unites youth all around the world, regardless of language, race, culture, or economy,” she added. “We are all children of God, with the same concerns and questions.”

“Music has such a powerful effect in our lives,” said Nik Day, who recently released a Christian album he hopes will strengthen others’ faith in Christ. “I can’t wait to talk about my experiences with music and how it has influenced me and increased my desire to follow the Savior.”

“Music has given me so many opportunities to share the gospel with people all over Brazil,” said Nicole Luz, who starred in Brazil’s version of The Voice Kids at age 13 and recorded several songs on the Portuguese 2017 Mutual theme album. “I am excited to tell the youth of the Church how sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ has blessed my life.”

Patch Crowe, a member of the boy band Beyond 5 who recently returned from serving in the Scotland/Ireland Mission, said one of the greatest lessons he learned was that he was given gifts and talents to bless others’ lives, not his own. “As we look outside of ourselves, God will show us a glimpse of who He knows we are,” he said.

Madilyn Paige, who competed on The Voice at age 16, said, “It's so easy to get caught up in the world's perspective and lose sight of your purpose.” She hopes to remind youth that their real worth comes from being sons and daughters of God.
