My Window to Heaven

Annual tithing settlements begin each year in October. A tithing settlement is an interview with the bishop in which you check that your donation records for the year are in agreement with those of the Church.

Tithes are offerings required by the Lord from ancient times in order to establish and build His kingdom here on earth.

The scriptures teach us that Heavenly Father is willing to reward us for such a demonstration of obedience '... and pour you out a blessing that there shall not be room enough to receive it' (3 Nephi 24:10).

All members of the Church, adults, teenagers, and children, (whether or not they have paid tithes and offerings), should attend tithing settlement with their bishop.

When?

From October 15th to December 31st.

What’s new?

The church has created the 'Donation History' option on the LDS.org website where you can see your current and past donations.

Elder Walter F. González, president of the Caribbean Area shares his testimony: 'I know that the payment of tithes and offerings opens the windows of heaven and activates our blessings. It is a way to elevate ourselves to live up to our privileges. I know that God lives. I know he is a true God. He fulfills what he promises.'
